The Milan futon frame s straight, linear and completely modern in appeal, but it has a secret feature that you will love. When you let the back down and turn the Milan into a platform bed, you can actually pull up one side to turn the bed into a lounger--perfect for reading and watching movies on TV! About the Urban Futon Mattresses
Consider which futon better suites your needs. The Urban 1 futon mattress works best with this futon if you intend to use the lounger position, but the choice is yours.
The Urban 1 combines two 8cm layers of reon free recycled foam and a core of cotton batting. This type of mattress does best when you rotate, beat and fluff it every so often. We strongly encourage you to buy a futon cover to protect your Urban 1 futon mattress and make your Milan futon look its best.
The Urban Spring is a coil mattress with 312 pocketed coil system. This mattress gives you more cushion and longevity, but also may not work as well with the Milan if you intend to put it in the lounger position. Customer may find it works just fine this way, but you have to make the decision.
Milan Futon Optional Accessories
The Milan comes with the Urban 1 futon mattress, but you might decide to upgrade to the Urban Spring and add a custom futon cover as well. Other options include oval cushions (shown) and 2 square 22" pillows as well.
