This mission style futon lounger is made of heavy duty poplar and is ideal for any small room. Because the futon lounger is unfinished, you can stain or paint it any color you wish. Like many of our happy customers, you can also enjoy its natural unfinished wood tone and leave it bare. Poplar is a hardwood and does not splinter like unfinished pine futon frames. This makes the mission lounger futon frame one of the best unfinished futon loungers on the market.
When selecting a futon mattress for your mission lounger, keep in mind that thinner futon mattresses will bend over the back while thick futon mattresses will not bend over the back. So if you want to make your futon into a loveseat without the extended portion sticking out, you need to buy a thinner futon mattress that will bend over the back. Futon Lounger Full or Twin Sizes
Full size loveseat loungers are best for small rooms because they take up little space and still allow you to sleep up to two people. The optional futon mattress for the larger futon lounger is a full size and takes full size sheets. You may also select the smaller size making this a twin mission lounger. Twin size futon loungers allow you to sleep one guest and make a great chair or futon chaise lounge.
