Futon Planet does not recommend the Comfort Rest for metal futon frames. Although many customers have bought Comfort Rest futon mattress for use on metal frames, they are better advised to upgrade to a thicker futon mattress.
The comfort rating of this futon mattress is one that is dependent on the surface upon which you lay it. Because the mattress is thin and easily compressed, you will readly feel through it. Simmons gives this futon a 5 inch loft, which is accurate with a generous ruler and imagination, but the settled loft seems to be closer to three inches.
