Simmons Splendor Futon Mattress
The Simmons Splendor is a Visco Elastic futon mattress and is best described as a medium-soft futon mattress. Simmons recommends that you do not flip the Splendor futon mattress so that your body is always in contact with the visco side of the cushion. This may or not be practical for some customers. We do recommend you rotate the mattress at the very least, to maximize its life.

If you are a heavier person, you might feel through to the bottom ever-so-slightly which is why we say the comfort rating is somewhat dependent on the surface upon which the Splendor futon mattress is laid. Still this futon is quite comfortable for the average person especially. Even heavier people will not readily feel through to the bottom when lying on the futon. This is because your distribution of weight is spread out more when you lie down. As we mentioned earlier, this futon mattress has a medium soft cushion feel.
